Welcome to our Itch page!
TUBBA Games Manufacturing Concern is an academic artist collective formed by Ryan Scheiding in 2022.
Our first major project, Nagasaki Kitty, started out as a solo project by Ryan that was released 5 April 2021. The game was expanded and translated by Mimi to create a new version, Nagasaki Kitty: Japanese Language Edition, before being released 13 December 2021. We then welcomed two new team members, Robyn and Marc, and released the final version of the game, Nagasaki Kitty: Enhanced Edition, on 9 August 2023. We are also in the early planning stages for a brand-new title which we are currently working on.
The goal of our games is to craft meaningful narratives with simple mechanics that help players learn about history, acquire Japanese language skills, and engage with the past through gameplay.
This page is also a repository of projects created by Georgia Tech graduate students from Ryan's classes starting in Spring 2024.
We hope that you enjoy our games!
